Plans - What Should We Do?

As an emergent network endeavor the plans for Work Literacy are fuzzy at best. We definitely would like to hear what other people would like to see happen with this effort.

Here are some of the things that are currently being worked on or discussed:

Improve Aggregation

We currently are aggregating based on Google blog search for workliteracy (or workliteracy.com) and for del.icio.us pages tagged with workliteracy. The feed itself only appears in the right sidebar and it is fairly ugly right now. We plan to continue to aggregate but to clean up how this is done. We also will eventually stop using search and instead aggregate member blogs. So, if you have a blog and will be blogging about this topic, please let us know about your blog. Go to the Services page to tell us.

Big Questions

Using a similar model to the Big Question on the Learning Circuits Blog, we hope to engage in dialog around these big questions.

Additional Questions / Surveys

We have created an initial set of questions around the Opportunities for Work Literacy as a network. We plan to do additional questions and surveys.

Publishing an initial Work Literacy framework

We have collected research from a wide variety of sources. Our belief is that there’s no single right framework, but that it provides value in terms of structure.

If you are interested in contributing to this, definitely let us know.

Soliciting contributions and evaluations of methods within the framework

Soliciting input on where the greatest challenges and opportunities lie

This is obviously a huge space with lots of things we should be doing. What do you recommend? Where would you be interested in participating?

We hope that you will respond to this in public via comments or in a blog post.

If you want to respond privately, feel free to use the Services page or through email.
