    Social Software Gaining Greater Traction with the Enterprise and Vendors Respond
    I have reviewed many of the venders sited include a number I have reviewed here and on the AppGap blog such as Atlassian, Box, Central Desktop, CubeTree, EMC, Jive, MindTouch, NewsGator, Novell, OpenText, PB Works, Socialtext, and Telligent. Forrester’s Rob Koplowitz writes that 2010 will be a defining year for enterprise 2.0 leshare at 48%.

    From what I can tell, such systems fall into two groups: the ones that are built around projects , tickets and the like (such as Basecamp and the app that my company uses, activeCollab ), and enterprise microblogging platforms that are more like Twitter and Facebook (such as Socialtext and Socialwok ).     And get this, you can continue to use Yammer or another product like Socialcast, Socialtext Signals, etc. But more accurately the low threshold to participation refers to the level of effort it requires to contribute.
