Earlier this week I participated in Google's partner conference , entitled Zeitgeist after the company's annual summary of trending topics. When I stumbled across that link, I realized I had to write The Search. In essence, my query was this: For most of Google's history, when people thought about Google, they'd think about search. Given that Google+ results are dominating so many SERPs these days, Google is clearly leveraging its power in search to build up Google+. Google just rolled out Social Search , a new experiment in providing better or more relevant results. You join the experiment through google.com/experimental  In addition to the usual results, if you click the "show options" link at the top of the search results page, you'll see an option for Social. This post likely will be quite a bit different because I'm convinced that most people have used different search tools enough that they are pretty comfortable with their current search behaviors.
